Who we are
Hi, I'm Mark Bohland.
If you're like most Christian Parents, you want your children to love Jesus, and come to trust Him (The Living Word) as their Savior.
As small children, however, they probably don't yet understand the kind deep dives into the the Bible (The Written Word) that lead to salvation.
But what all children love is a captivating book being read to them by you... especially if the book combines bright bold pictures of some of the smallest things God has created, along with a fun LiTTLE character like them, who loves things in nature (The General Word) that point them toward God.
What if I told you, you could read a book to your children that would: get them excited about God's world; affirm God's handiwork; help them begin to understand the world God made, and how it relates to them; and a book draws them to Him?
If you have had trouble finding books that your children will ask you to read over and over again, THAT ALSO point them toward God, I feel your pain.
If your children would rather do something else than interact with a book on their own I feel THEIR pain. As a younger child, and then as a school age child, I HATED BOOKS... at least the books I was supposed to love and to read........ except for two old hardcover books we had in our home: a wild animal dictionary, and a bird dictionary.
What that means is that children will pay attention to books about what they love.

I am an author who understands this. I ended up studying to become a teacher at a Christian College, and, after years of teaching experience, earned a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Talent Development. That means I know how to peak children's' interest, and keep their attention... even for the easily bored gifted children I still teach on a daily basis.
My first two books were published by Prufrock Press, who sold by them to teachers across the United States. They remain in print and are being sold by the Routledge / Taylor-Francis Group.
I also read and studied photography on my own, and photographed hundreds of weddings, family & graduation portraits (and Nature Photography just for me) on my way to earning a Master of Photography degree.
The fusion of careers in teaching and professional photography have led to the creation of the book series: God in the Garden and Riley's LiTTLE Adventures – Big Wonders In God's Smallest Places.
In Book 1, for Middle School Students, readers are introduced to amazing things that they can find - mostly in their own yard or garden - that exhibit design properties that point to The Creator.
In the the other two versions, several of the same yard and garden wonders are presented for younger readers and for small children being read to, respectively. In those two versions, Riley, a precocious grain of rice, finds thirteen small wonders from an acorn, a moth and a spider, to stinging nettle, a cricket, and eight more LiTTLE wonders. Riley and you child, will discover how God's creation relates to them, and points them toward Him.
All books will include additional fun facts, and links to additional exclusive online content, not linked to from any other outside source.
The more advanced reading level book will be suitable for upper elementary and middle school / Home School Students, and should be a welcome suppliment to school libraries and home school curricula.
